What is a deep conditioner?
This is a hair treatment that is placed on the hair after shampooing (cleansing) the hair. It is usually in the form of a hair mask and tends to be thicker than regular conditioner. It is left on the hair anywhere from 20-30 minutes. For those with low porosity hair it helps to use heat/steam to lift the hair cuticle. This will allow the deep conditioner to penetrate the hair strand and be better absorbed.
